Been slacking in the prog department for years now. Picked this up by chance, listened to a few songs, and it's not bad. Will investigate further.

Right now I would say I'd rather listen to The Pathway than this. Still decent though.

This is really good! I am happy to see that Power Metal can deliver some good stuff.

How could som aeone rate this masterpiece at 2 remains a mystery to me, brilliant piece of art just like the previous album, shame they are so underrated

"The Quaker"
I was avoiding this record for some reason. Glad I eventually got to it, I think it's a million times more mature than The Pathway. The epics they created are on par with the great names in the prog/power scene, and while it's not quite original or ridden of cliches I can't help but enjoy it all the way. Initially an 8 but after multiple listens I bumped it up to a 9. Great album!

While the debut borrows a lot from early Symphony X, mainly "The Divine Wings..." in a good way, I actually prefer "Transcendence" despite having less tracks, because the band started adding their own touch and the guitar sound is more futuristic.

It's just strange that this band is not famous. Not sure how they sound live, I checked 1 vid but it wasn't an official one and they seemed like a regular professional band but the studio records rarely get better than this. I'm just thinking that these days, you got to do something new rather than be extremely good to get famous.

Love this album, their debut didn't interest me, especially since I'm not a fan of Symphony X, and I usually don't like neo-classical metal. But every song here is amazing, it's got technical parts, melodic parts, everything you could want from a prog album.
