Which is sad. But hopefully they can recapture the emotion of the first three.

I still haven't made up my mind about this album. But I really have to give Rosetta kudos here: this album sounds like nothing they have produced previously in their discography and the uniformity of the band's vision at points sent chills down my spine. I was reminded a little bit of the Flies to Flame EP (at least in terms of the vocal placement in some earlier tracks), but this album ultimately feels completely different. There are flashes of brilliance here and there, but overall I was more impressed with the general sound than the actual songwriting itself.

For a genre widely perceived as stagnant and even boring, Rosetta once again manage to switch the sound and vibe of their post-metal approach successfully with each new record.

This album has been growing on me quite a bit. I'm a bit of a weird Rosetta fan, but I'd put this one above ADOM and QE and on par with The Anaesthete. It doesn't approach the quality of the first two albums, but I'm sold by the approach. Very unique and fascinating album.

The cleans really make a difference here.

Grower. A lot of ambient moments, which is no surprise really because Mike Armine is genius. I like the production, multiple singers, and melodic bits and pieces. Favorite song is "King Ivory Tower". Thinking of '9'ing this.

The last 2 albums for me are not that great. They are good. 7 - 8 range. I was afraid of this release. Thought here comes more of the same. Becoming a bit stale. Wondering if they ran out of ideas. Was I wrong. Got my Rosetta juices flowing again. I hope they make a stop in the midwest. Where about in Canada are you?

I'm east of Toronto in the Maritimes of Canada, so Rosetta doesn't even bother to play close enough to me. I'd have to go to Montreal or Toronto to see them, although I definitely want to. The local scene here doesn't have a lot of post-metal, which is rather sad, but at least your lists can help satisfy my post-metal cravings. This one was really interesting to me- this is the furthest thing from stale! Very good variation of their trademark sound.

Neophyte Visionary almost sounds like a remix of a Quintessential Ephemera song. So good!
