This just left me speechless for many parts. An absolute masterpiece. This is why Drudkh is one of my favourite bands although they have changed their style in the last decade.

This is one the best black metal albums of the last few years!
I never expected that they can reach the heights of their first 4 albums again, but this is just perfect.
I hope that we don´t have to wait another 3 years for the next album...

They still play the same type of music eh? I know some fans like that, but for me this band got stagnant, many years ago. Still quite enjoyable.

Enjoyed very much the first track. When it came out, I thought it is going to be a hell of an album. But for me, no. I enjoyed only the start and the ending of the album. I disagree with the majority of the listeners. But of course it is a good release, not something that special though.

From the outset, this album assuages any concerns that Drudkh simply caught wind of the myriad surging trends in the atmospheric black metal circle, and establishes an immediate message of getting down to business in ways only they know how.

Folk-inspired black metal is an inherent gamble to jump into for listeners and musicians alike. On the one hand, you can stumble into some incredibly cringe-worthy, awkward, amateurish fantasy cheese that denigrates the genre as a whole. However, on the other hand -- as is the case with this album -- you'll find beauty in bleakness without sacrificing the raw and scornful nature of black metal's defining characteristics. And being that Drudkh officially helped shaped what is now known as the standard for those boundaries, you can bet they haven't forgotten their roots.

There's a subtly sinister vibe that takes a back seat to the overwhelming majestic tone set forth from the first riff, but it nonetheless permeates the album like a tortured ghost haunting its former home as its lingering duties in the mortal realm have yet to be laid to rest. This is a significant release for the band as it puts to death fears of a one-way decline; the climb back out of the hole dug with the last few releases won't take very long with more quality content such as this.
