Compared to the most well-known bands of Nirvana, and Pearl Jam Tad was one of the heaviest grunge bands to emerge from Seattle. Musically, it had a similar heavy sound to Soundgarden and Melvins, but with a slightly different vocal approach. Some of the guitar/bass was incredibly heavy especially with the early work of albums like "Gods Balls" leading up to "Inhaler" even having a sludge sound similar to Melvins.

This band was an amazing supergroup that is very similar to Soundgarden, with some of the same members. They had 1 studio album that is very good and they even opened for Alice In Chains in 1990. I think that it is unfair to not have this band on the site, as they had a great record and some amazing songs.

As long as bands like Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, and Pearl Jam are blacklisted, there’s really no reason to add other grunge bands that were less significant and even less connected to metal to our database. |
