Personal information

Ross Dolan (born November 1969) is the vocalist/bassplayer and one of the founders of the American death metal band Immolation.

His very deep but nevertheless intelligible death grunt is quite characteristic. It is not as guttural as most other death metal vocalists and his lyrics are pronounced more clearly. He has kept his voice consistent on the band's most recent Shadows in the Light CD (2007) as it was on its debut Dawn of Possession (1991). A rare feat considering the strain the vocal cords endure when utilizing this vocal style and many vocalists tend to 'pitch up' somewhat as their careers progress, while Dolan's voice has, if anything, pitched down from the band's early days.
