Personal information
Darren White is an English musician raised in Liverpool and best known as the original vocalist for the band Anathema. His low death grunts on the band's early recordings pinpointed the group's early identification with the doom/death metal genre.
White also fronted other bands, including The Blood Divine with former members of Cradle of Filth and Dead Men Dream. His latest project, Serotonal, has been described as "drone/atmospheric doom". In February 2009 Serotonal signed a record deal with Union Black Records, with the debut album to be released later in 2009.
He is very often and incorrectly labelled as the former drummer of the British band Cradle of Filth. He would like it to be known that he did not play on any of their early demos Orgiastic Pleasures Foul and The Black Goddess Rises, and their never-released full length album Goetia. However, Darren did record guest vocals on Cradle of Filth's first full album - mainly the song, 'A Dream of Wolves in the Snow' as well as some other parts.
