Biography
Black Therapy project was born in Rome, during summer 2009, from an idea of Daniele Rizzo and Lorenzo "Kallo" Carlini. After several searches the bass guitar player Giulio Rimoli, the drummer Luca Soldati and the vocalist Giuseppe Di Giorgio complete the line-up.
During July 2010 Black Therapy enters the Early Reflections Studios to record their first demo, Through This Path, and begin the live activity. In August 2012 Marco Cattaneo joins the formation as the new bass player, and in October they enter the recording studio to give birth to the first full lenght album Symptoms Of A Common Sickness. The album is mixed by Bob Romano (Ade) at MI studios (Hollywood) and mastered at Hertz Studio in Poland (Behemoth, Desaster, Vader) with artwork by Michal "Xaay" Loranc (Nile, Behemoth, Vader) in collaboration with Piotr "ArchArt" Szafraniec and inner artwork by Adhiira art.
In January 2013 Plustre Video shoot the official videoclip for "The Time Is Dead" and in February 2013 they are signed by Revalve Records, which releases the album on April 2013.
From 30.08 'till 06.09 they are on tour in Europe with Nile, Ex Deo and Svart Crown, featuring also Vader in two Poland gigs. The bass player for the tour is Alessandro Finocchiaro. In 2014 they play some gigs in Italy. In September the EP The Final Outcome is recorded, mixed and mastered at 16th Cellar Studio by Stefano Morabito (Eyeconoclast, Fleshgod Apocalypse). The EP is released in October via Revalve Records and features special guest Francesco Ferrini (Fleshgod Apocalypse) on the piano of "Mad World" (cover of the song best known for the soundtrack of the movie "Donnie Darko").

With two albums released - the latest In The Embrace Of Sorrow, I Smile via Apostasy Records -, Rome based quintet Black Therapy has become in short time one of the strongest uprising acts in the Melodic Death Metal scene, thanks to a strong live activity all around Europe in support of bands like Dark Tranquillity, Wintersun, Equilibrium,Arch Enemy, Dark Lunacy and many more.
Their catchy melodies soar to incredible heights that are practically guaranteed to get your head bobbing and darken your soul.
