Biography
Scavenger was formed in late September 2001, featuring members of different bands in the local scene of Drogheda Ireland with the aim to fill a necessary void in the steadily growing Irish metal scene. After 2 months of hard jamming they entered FatDog Studios in Meath to record their audaciously self-titled debut demo.
The demo 'Scavenger' received outstanding reviews in Ireland and across Europe through the various websites and publications through the sheer voracity and aggression within. Its blistering rhythms and breakneck riffing already guaranteed them their just place in Irish metal history with bags of promise for the future.
A number of dates throughout the country helped establish a name for themselves and further raise the profile of this new and hardworking band. After their fantastic reception from the live dates, they got stuck into writing new songs for their debut album. In March 2003 they entered FatDog studios again and recorded their debut album. The CD was then mixed and mastered by Stuart Anstis (Ex-Cradle of Filth) at SoundCage, UK. Autumn of 2003 saw them sign to leading Irish Metal Label Sentinel Records and the release of their debut album entitled 'Madness To Our Method' ' in early 2004.
With an extensive live follow up to this release and with acclaimed reviews already arriving from initial promo mailouts Scavenger will hit 2004 with a considerable and impressive impact on the metal scene.
