Biography
Formerly know as Fetal Incest [2004 / 2010] the band gathered with the aim of tributing the most obscure grindcore bands like Gut, CBT, Dead Infection, Rot, Last Days Of Humanity and others. The band gathered individuals from other respected acts in the scene, passed through some line-up changes and finally established itself as Grunt with the members Boy-G (pitched vocals / guitars), Boy-Z (bass) and Boy-D (grunts and screams / drums), which was always the core line-up and the masterminds behind songwriting and concept.
Shortly after doing the first live appearances they've been considered the most promiscuous and explicit Portuguese band, abusing from a dirty porno concept which left everybody stunned.
GRUNT became their new definition since 2010. The band released "Scrotal Recall", the acclaimed debut full length through Bizarre Leprous Prod. The album got a great reception from fans and press alike, not only for the sheer brutality and originality of the songs but also due to the mind-blowing live performances. Grunt is an entity not only devoted to performing extreme music but also with a compromise to immerse the audience in their live shows which incorporate a visual performance never seen before, the massive use of eletronics and the enigmatic appearance of the trio suited in their alter-egos.
Such praise got the band to perform in festivals like Obscene Extreme (CZ) and many other fest around Portugal and Europe, a UK Tour in 2012 and "Scrotal Recall" became somewhat of a cult album among the extreme scene all over the world. The band then entered an hiatus to write new material and take further the hybrid approach achieved in the first album.
The wait is over and the new release CODEX BIZARRE is nearly accomplished. An exhaustive exercice of redifining the ditactorial art of BDSM. The smell of an intense blast of filthy air from the deep chambers of feudal submission and misery.
