Formed in Los Angeles by Julio Federici on the vocals (King of Bones), Mika Jaxx on the guitar (Sioux 66 and React), Gui Bodi on the bass (Disciples of Babylon and Artur Menezes) and Boll3t on the drums (Aboleth and Hecatombe), Area 55 debuted with their single and music video 'Far Away' in 2019. Besides playing their instruments/singing, Area 55 counts with three audio engineers in the band: Mika, Boll3t and Federici. After releasing the single 'Far Away', the group finished working on their debut album, 'One Ocean', which has yet to be released.

"We worked with producer Brendan Duffey (Angra, Torture Squad and André Matos, among many others), the cover artwork of the album was made by Richard Villa (Black Veil Brides) and the booklet by Gustavo Sazes (Machine Head, Morbid Angels). Next for the band is to book as many shows as we can and hit the ground running as soon as possible".
