Biography
Lacerater was born in 2002 under the name of Lacerated, a moniker which was used until 2004. As Lacerated, the band recorded two bootleg demos: "Revenge Of Darkness" and "Demo 2004". The band performed in many nearby gigs after the success of the releases, resulting in a small yet growing fan base. Lacerater had shared the stage with the likes of Labrat, Umigliazione, Grimness, Dreams Of Agony, Mourn In Silence, Icon Of Hyemes, Kreas, Bowel Stew, Conviction, and Banged Up.
In 2007 Lacerater entered Fear Studios to record a four-track demo with a grindcore-influenced brutal death metal sound, deviating slightly from their previous style in addition to writing Italian lyrics as opposed to English. "Nessun Urlo Nell' Ombra" was independently distributed to a variety of countries across the world, resulting in a slew of reviews praising the band for their mix of brutality and humor. The band's underground status grew as the name of the band was spread across the globe. Lacerater then set up their own tours to support their sound, garnering more attention from European metalheads and increasing their fan base.
Lacerater are currently seeking representation from a record label and have discussed the potential for new material to be released in the near future.
