Biography

Kvist is no more. With only one proper release, Kvist's "For Kunsten Maa Vi Evig Vike" shall stand the test of time as a pillar of epic, savage black metal. Released on the first day of the year 1996, and forsaking the usual forumlaic approach to black metal that most Norwegian bands had seemed to cash in on, Kvist's For Kunsten Maa Vi Evig Vike took listeners to a place they'd never previously set foot. Anyone who was around at the time will attest to this, and all the new fans Kvist has garnered since will back them up. And while Kvist may be dead as a band, their contribution to black metal will be felt for decades to come.

Kvist's guitarist, Trondr Nefas, can now be found playing in the mighty black metal hordes Endezzma, Urgehal, and Vulture Lord.
