Biography
The Arrow (previously known as Black Arrow) is a heavy metal band from Moscow, Russia. The band was founded in 1994 by Pavel Blischenko, the only member who remains the same after all the line-up changes. Since the very beginning the band formed its proper sound with aggressive guitar riffs, lyrical and sparkling solos, attacking keyboards. The band released one demo and then after some changes they started the recording of their debut album Children Of Gods in the October 1999. At the end of 2000 due to legal problems the band had to change its name from Black Arrow to The Arrow. In May 2002, The Arrow became the only Russian band invited to take part in an international tribute to Blind Guardian Tales From The Underworld. The musicians recorded cover version of "Time What Is Time" song of Blind Guardian from Somewhere Far Beyond album. In the beginning of 2003 The Arrow began the recording of the material for the second album Lady Nite. Working at that stuff, the band arrived to a quite unusual and fantastic idea to release the material as two different albums, with Russian and English lyrics. At first, the English version under the name Lady Nite was recorded with many special guests such as Hansi Kursch (Blind Guardian), Peter Wagner (Rage), Artur Berkut (Aria), Andrey Fedorenko (Archontes) for vocal parts and guitarist Sergey Mavrin (Mavrik). This CD saw the light of day in the beginning of 2009 through CD-Maximum. Much earlier, in 2006 the Russian version under the name Khranitel' Dush (Keeper Of Souls) appeared.
