Protean is a Black Metal project started back in 2013, and since then it is developed and masterminded by two well known Latvian Metal Underground personalities - Mr. Jānis Krivāns (ex-Moonveil, ex-Urskumug) and Mr. Edmunds Vizla (Frailty). The band was recently joined by Mr. Jānis Bu?s (Eschatos), to be its lead vocalist. The music of Protean is a mixture of epic Black Metal with added Industrial and Orchestral notes. The songs deal with the themes of history, warfare, legends and folk tales.
