Tortured
Left to decay
A weeping soul
He wallows through murky fields
This corpse maimed
This life a mere flicker in existence
Beaten, worn, abused

Out from the darkness he shall rise

With unveiled flesh, frail bones and dreary eyes
He roams through bullet fueled fields
In city crevices he shall wade

His angst the cause of your demise

A child of the earth
I outgrew my mother
And squandered all
That she had left me

My insatiable hunger
For knowledge, power, beauty
Clouded my senses
Living on impulse

I owned it all
As far as the eye could see
Mountains and oceans
Mine for the taking

I silenced all
That did not serve me
And spared a few
Jesters and feasts

My greed and my glory
Known to me always
Complacent I waited
To evolve

As I burned all around me
I laughed and I sighed
For I have lived
A good life

Burn this place
Take these walls

A vice-like grip on our collective mind
Creating out thoughts

The puppet masters

Preachers and leaders
Try to pacify me
Out of the darkness
No one can blind me

Destroy these houses

The ones who failed us

When a new city is built
