Immortal - Trivia

The character Lars Ümlaüt (from the video-game series Guitar Hero) features much of the same clothing Abbath wears, and identical corpse paint. The reference is more apparent in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, as Ümlaüt's hair is jet black (rather than blond) just like Abbath.
The song "One by One" was featured on the soundtrack in the 'Tony Hawk's Project 8' game.
Besides Bömbers, a Motörhead tribute, Abbath and former drummer Armagedda together with former Gorgoroth bassist and Enslaved guitarist Arve Isdal have formed 'I', which according to Abbath 'picks up where Immortal left off' and 'will play the same style as Motörhead'. The main lyricist is Demonaz, former Immortal guitarist.
Kolgrim joined Immortal for several months after the release of "Diabolical Fullmoon Mysticism", was fired from the band because of laziness! Also played in "The Call of the Wintermoon" video.
Armagedda, one of the founders of Immortal, now works as a builder.
Jørn Inge Tunsberg (Jørn), one of the founders of Immortal, left the band after the release of two demos to start working on his own project Hades Almighty.
Erik Brødreskift (Grim) joined Immortal right after the release of "Pure Holocaust". Although he is on the cover of the album, the drums were performed by Abbath. He played two European tours together with Immortal until he was fired from the band. Commited suicide on 14th October 1999 a.y.p.s. [RIP]
Abbath is currently playing in a Motörhead cover band called Bombers, together with Tore Bratseth (ex-Old Funeral) and Pez (Punishment Park / JEF). During the Inferno Metal Festival 2007, Abbath joined the German Thrash Metal band Sodom on stage and performed a cover of Motörhead's "Ace of Spades".
The annual "Hole In The Sky" festival, held in Bergen, Norway, is held in honour of Erik Brødreskift's memory. Except in 2004 it was held in memory of both Erik and Valfar (Windir).
Demonaz (1989 - 1997) left the band due to acute tendinitis. Due to tendinitis, Daemonaz can play guitars at a certain standard but he cannot play at the speed required for Immortal. Instead he continues to write lyrics for Immortal and often takes the role of manager. He used to live in the basement of Abbath's parents and has his own company.
Abbath was the one responsible for getting Varg Vikernes (Burzum) into the metal scene.
