The site remains of interest for the important role it played in the London metal scene in the late 70's, early 80's. This was the pub where Iron Maiden launched their career and can be seen in the background on the album cover of their album "Killers".
As of December 2008, this pub has now been shut down and will be converted into a medical centre and flats.
