Italian metallers Ephel Duath are working on their new EP, due in summer 2012 via their recently-signed deal with Agonia Records.

In a video filmed at Sharkbyte Studios (Machine Head, Exodus, High On Fire) in Oakland, California, drummer Marco Minnemann plays an extract from the song "Stardust Rain" and bass legend Steve DiGiorgio (Death, Testament, Sadus, Obscura) plays the intro of the song "Black Prism".

Erik Rutan will mix the EP at his Mana Recording Studio (Cannibal Corpse, Hate Eternal) in San Petersburg, Florida. Alan Douches will master the material at West West Side Music (Death, Mastodon, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Clutch) in New York.

US nu metal act Ill Niño will enter the studio next month to begin working on their sixth full-length album, the follow-up to 2010's Dead New World. The band plans to release the new album in the summer.

California's Bonded By Blood are due to enter the studio this weekend to begin recording their as-yet untitled new album.

The follow up to 2010's Exiled To Earth is being recorded with producer and former Machine Head/Soulfly guitarist Logan Mader (Devildriver, Five Finger Death Punch) at Silver Sound and Mt. Olympus Studios in Los Angeles. It will be the band's first album to feature vocalist Mauro Gonzalez and bassist Jessie Sanchez.

"We can't wait for everybody to hear what the new album has in store. It's definitely more diverse and we all had a blast writing it," states guitarist Juan Juarez. "It'll be the first record with Mauro and Jessie, who have been great additions to the line-up, and the four of us really connected well during the writing and rehearsing of this album. The playing on this album will be top-notch. We're glad to be recording in Los Angeles, and excited to work with Logan. So far, names such as Rob Halford (Judas Priest), Lemmy Kilmister (Motörhead), Ian Gillan (Black Sabbath), Alice Cooper, Glenn Hughes (Black Sabbath), Sebastian Bach (Skid Row), Chris Jericho (Fozzy) and Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters) have promised to take part of the tribute, planned to be released until the end of the year.

Swedish folk metallers King Of Asgard will hit Sonic Train Studios in early March to record the follower to their debut album Fi'mbulvintr, which was released back in 2010.
