Avantasia - 'The Metal Opera' Pt. 1 & 2 To Be Reissued On Vinyl

Things have been quiet around Avantasia's camp. But now AFM Records is taking a trip down memory lane and the band's milestone albums The Metal Opera Part I and The Metal Opera Part II will be reissued as picture vinyls. April 17th will see the release of these albums for the first time ever as 180g double picture vinyl editions limited to 1000 units worldwide.

Wizard - To Reissue Four Studio Albums

Power metallers Wizard will reissue four studio albums in 2015, via Limb Music. You can get your hands on new editions of Bound By Metal (1999), Head Of The Deceiver (2001), Odin (2003) and Magic Circle (2005), which have been remastered by Markus Teske (Vanden Plas, Mob Rules, Symphony X), and will include bonus tracks. Moreover, the Odin and Magic Circle reissues will also include bonus video clips.

Eyehategod - Announce Vinyl Reissues And Box Set Release

Two classics of New Orleans' sludge metal pioneers Eyehategod, namely In The Name Of Suffering (1992) and Take As Needed For Pain (1993), will be reissued on 180g vinyl. Both titles are set for release on April 13th, 2015 via Century Media and can already be pre-ordered as of now.

Metallica - Launch Reissue Project With 'No Life 'Til Leather' Cassette

Remember the 1982 No Life 'Til Leather demo? And cassettes? Well, Metallica will celebrate this year's "Record Store Day" with the release of an exact duplication of the band's 1982 demo tape as a limited-edition cassette on April 18th. The artwork was made from Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich's own copy and will feature his handwriting. At the time, the group consisted of vocalist/guitarist James Hetfield, lead guitarist Dave Mustaine (Megadeth), bassist Ron McGovney and drummer Ulrich. Some of the songs from this demo became classics of the band and all but "The Mechanix" would appear on their debut Kill 'Em All.

Borknagar - 'The Olden Domain' Album To Be Reissued

Officium Triste - 'Reason' Album To Be Reissued

Vic Records and death doom metallers Officium Triste have announced today their cooperation to bring back to life the 2004 album Reason. Originally released by the now defunct Displeased Records Reason, the album is considered by many to be the highlight of Officium Triste's output. The album has been out of print for a while now and will be reissued as a digipack with additional liner notes. Stay tuned for the exact release date.

Century Media Records has announced the reissue of two groundbreaking technical death metal albums, Obscura and From Wisdom To Hate, by long-running Canadian legends Gorguts on April 6th, 2015 in Europe and April 7th in North America. These 2015 editions were created in close cooperation with Luc Lemay, who reveals the entire history of these ambitious records in the accompanying liner notes and both are dedicated to the memory of former members Steeve Hurdle (R.I.P. 2012) and Steve MacDonald (R.I.P. 2002). Inquisition - To Reissue First Two Albums, Covers Revealed

Black metal duo Inquisition are now revealing the artwork of the reissue of their praised second full-length Invoking The Majestic Throne Of Satan which has been scheduled for release on February 23rd, 2015 (one day later in North America). This is part of Season Of Mist exclusively releasing the official catalogue of the band. Invoking The Majestic Throne Of Satan will come as all reissues with new artwork by the renowned artist Paolo Girardi, who already created the cover art for Inquisition's latest album Obscure Verses For The Multiverse (2013). The original artwork will be included as well with each re-release. These will have the original masters; no remixes and no remastering.

Iron Maiden - Last Batch Of '80s Vinyl Reissues On The Way

Parlophone Records (BMG/INgrooves Music Group for the USA) follow the 2012/13 Iron Maiden vinyl picture disc reissues of the first eight Iron Maiden albums, which spanned the 1980s, with brand new pressings of the albums in heavyweight 180g black vinyl. In conjunction with these premium album releases, a strictly limited one-off run of the 7" singles from each respective album will be made available. These highly collectable black vinyl singles will be cut from the original analogue master tapes.
