Neuraxis - New Album Cover Art Revealed
Official press release
Quebecois metallers Neuraxis have unveiled the cover of their upcoming album, Asylon, which will be released in North America on February 15th, 2011.
The cover art was created by artist Dennis Sibeijn of Damnengine Artwork, who worked with the band on their previous album, The Thin Line Between, as well with Job For A Cowboy, Chimaira and more. Asylon was recorded at Wildsound Studio with producer Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy, The Last Felony, The Agonist). Prosthetic has launched the pre-order for the album, at its official webstore.
Vocalist Alex Leblanc commented on the cover: "So here is the cover for Asylon. As many of you will see, it is very different from all our previous album covers. Since the lyrics and the music are so connected on the new record, we wanted the cover to represent perfectly the vibe... dark, visceral and heavy. We used a lot of dark green to represent the sick/poisonous mood of the lyrics."

Neuraxis - Enter The Studio In June
Montreal-based death metallers Neuraxis will enter Wildsound Studio on June 3 with producer Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy, The Last Felony, The Agonist) to begin recording their sixth album for a fall release through Prosthetic Records.
Commented vocalist Alex Leblanc: "Chris is an excellent producer. He's been a friend of mine for years, played in some bands with him and already worked with him in the studio on some other projects. He's also the most easy going guy around. Working with him is going to be a blast for sure.
We are almost done with the writing process for the new album; maybe one or two more songs to go.
It's going to be a powerful album. Dark, vicious, catchy, technical, melodic; everything you can expect from a Neuraxis album with some unexpected twists.
We have two more shows this weekend, then we will rehearse the new songs for a month, putting the final touches and get ready to shred in the studio.
"It's going to be a blast... We can't wait to play the new songs on the road for you guys."

Neuraxis - Part Ways With Drummer And Bassist
Montreal's Neuraxis have announced they are parting ways with drummer Tommy Mckinnon and bassist Yan Thiel.
Guitarist Rob Milley comments: "The time has come again for us to refresh the Neuraxis family as we are now seeking a new drummer and bassist. Nothing really juicy to tell. For Tommy, his priorities began to differ from ours while on the road until it became clear to us that he was no longer enjoying the touring lifestyle. He wishes to go back to school to complete his education. As for Yan its just been a case of him deciding to further his working career and he can no longer dedicate himself to the band. This has been going on for many years now and its time for us to have a full-time bassist on board. Both of them will continue playing in other musical projects. We thank our metal brothers for all the good times we had together and wish them the best for the future. Tommy and Yan will be fullfilling all our summer shows already booked ending with a fitting show in Montreal at the Club Soda on Sept 11th 2009.
With that being said, we are excited to get some new blood in the band. For those interested in auditioning for the drummer and bassist positions, visit our MySpace page to learn the following 3 songs: "Dreaming The End", "Darkness Prevails" and "Clarity" and make sure to read all the requirements before getting in touch with us. We ask you to video tape yourself playing these songs, add it to your youtube page and send us the link by myspace. Include Drummer audition and Bassist audition in the subject."
