Bulgarian melodic black/death outfit Claymore have parted ways with their longtime bassist Velislav Danov. The band posted the following about his departure: "Velislav Danov is no longer part of Claymore. Since this in an internal matter, it has to be handled internally. We would not share anything else, yet. Claymore will continue its work and future strategies will be revealed shortly."

Marty Friedman - Three Albums To See North American Release In August
Former Megadeth American guitarist Marty Friedman has signed a deal with Prosthetic Records for the North American release of three of his recent solo albums, namely 2010's Bad D.N.A., 2008's Future Addict, which have only been available in Japan, and 2006's Loudspeaker, originally released in the US by Shrapnel Records.

IXXI - Ink Deal With Osmose Productions, To Enter Studio In August
Swedish black metal outfit IXXI has signed to Osmose Productions and are set to enter studio this August to begin working on a new album. This album will be the band's fourth after Elect Darkness was released back in 2009. The band's guitarist, Axel Axelsson "Acerbus" Johnson, posted the following on their Facebook page: "IXXI is very proud to announce that we have now signed with Osmose production for a brand new record. With a new line-up and strength regained we shall enter Sunlight Studio in August with only the best IXXI songs so far ever to date."

Decadence - Call It Quits
Even though Swedish metallers Decadence were working on a new album the last time the band checked in, they have now released the following statement about splitting up: "Time passes fast when you are having fun and that's exactly how it has felt for almost 10 years rolling on the Decadence train. Next year of 2013, Decadence celebrates our 10th anniversary with a total of four albums and a demo, many great shows, memories and experiences to go along with that with us. Keeping this in mind, and the good spirit that Decadence has given every one of us, we have decided to bring this journey to an end and let it continue on its own with the help of all our amazing fans and friends and of course by own projects that will be initiated by the members of Decadence on separate ways."
