Symfonia - Debut Album Details
Symfonia - the melodic metal super group featuring members of Stratovarius, Angra, Helloween and Sonata Arctica - will release their debut album, In Paradisum, on April 1st.
The band recently signed a worldwide distribution deal (excluding Asia) with Edel Germany GmbH, in cooperation with Hamburg based international marketing office IAM - International Artist Marketing.
Recorded and mixed in Sweden, Finland and Italy, the album In Paradisum carries the legacy of this incredible group of musicians who have written some of the most successful and exciting pages of the last 15 years of heavy metal.
For all the fans who can´t wait for the release of the album on April 1st, Symfonia will reveal their music in their music player commencing February 25th with snippets of various songs from the forthcoming album being made available every Friday.
Timo Tolkki, guitar player, and producer of the album says: "I am extremely happy about the signing with Edel Germany and IAM and taking the next step in my career. I believe we have now gathered a team that enables Symfonia to bring its music to a wider range of audience around the globe. We have worked very hard for six months for this album and we think it is a positive and powerful and yet has a fresh and melodic approach. Last time I felt like this was when I signed the first international record deal with Stratovarius back in 1991. A lot has happened ever since but the ship sails on to a new horizon with new and positive energy and we cannot wait to get In Paradisum released and take it on the road."
Symfonia will make its world premiere on February 18th, 2011 at the Finnish Metal Expo, where they will take the stage at 11pm in the evening.

Clandestine Cuts #5 Now Up!
Listen up boys and girl! The first Clandestine Cuts issue of the year is now up! You all see how your votes got some great new up and comers an even bigger spotlight in the 2010 MetalStorm Awards? Well guess what - our tournament of yet-to-be-champions for 2011 begins today, so check out these bands, and if you find one in particular that rules above all else, give them a vote! Tell your friends to come and vote! Teach your cat how to use MetalStorm, then teach it how to vote (chances are it will put more thought into it's vote than you). Point being, continue to show your support for these struggling acts and we'll do the same by throwing the 10 best into a bigger spotlight in next years awards.

Death - "The Sound Of Perseverance" Three-Disc Reissue Streaming Online For A Limited Time
Death's seventh and final album The Sound Of Perseverance will see its official reissue on February 15th in North America (February 21 internationally) via Relapse Records and is available for pre-order now at this location.
The first in a series of official Death re-issues slated for 2011, The Sound Of Perseverance has been remastered from the original studio tapes and expanded to include a second disc of previously unreleased demo material. The band commented: "It is great to be in the company of Summoning, Leaves' Eyes, and Monster Magnet! From the start it was clear that the band and label share the same goals and ideas. We are excited about the cooperation!"
Besides playing concerts, the band revolving around frontman Askeroth is quite busy working on their new album. The band has already made a name for itstelf with their first releases Das Erste Abendmahl and Antik. The latter will be re-released with new artwork and bonus material. Worshippers of dark and morbid music may look forward to yet another dose of Nachtblut in their veins!

Black Flame - Sign With Behemoth Productions
Italian black metallers Black Flame have inked a deal with the Italian cult black metal label Behemoth Productions.
Due later in the year, the band's fourth album, Septem, will feature guest appearances by members of a well-known Italian industrial band. The cover artwork will be created by Niklas Sundin (Dark Tranquillity).

Rigor Mortis - Enter The Studio Next Month
Texas thrash metal veterans Rigor Mortis will enter the studio next month to record their first new tracks in 20 years. The band lay down two new songs between March 6 and March 8 with longtime friend and producer Kerry Crafton (who previously worked with the group on 1991's Vs. The Earth) and will use the recording to procure a new record deal. A new full-length album will be released before the end of the year.
