Orakle - Guitarist Leaves The Band

French metal band Orakle have delivered the news that guitarist Amar Ru is leaving. The band released the following statement:

"After seven years spent within Orakle, guitarist Amaury aka Amar Ru decided to part ways with the band, willing to focus on different activities and musical insipirations. Of course, his decision won't compromise the future of the band, as we are currently working on the next album, following 2008's Tourments & Perdition. As things stand, the guitar duties on this next recording will be handled by Eithenn and Achernar; however, perfect candidates are free to knock at our door. Be patient, and rendez-vous when the fruit reaches maturity."

Enthroned - Show Cancellations

Enthroned will not be touring Guatemala, Honduras and San Salvador this December. The band issued the following apology:

"We are very sorry to announce that we have to cancel the shows in Guatemala, Honduras and San Salvador this December. The concert in Mexico City remains and is still happening! We got informed by the local promoters that a hurricane might hit those countries at that period and flights will most likely be canceled.

Regarding the promoter, the dates will be re-scheduled next year, in 2011. It's always better to let our fans from Guatemala, Honduras & San Salvador know about the situation, and we hope those dates are not canceled but just delayed to a few months. As for the rest and to all Mexican Maniacs out there, see you in December!"

Mortiis - Download The New Album For Free Today

Mortiis returns to satiate fans' desire for new music today (October 10) with Perfectly Defect, a completely free, full-length, downloadable album. Get your fix of new Mortiis material here.

"Putting Perfectly Defect out as a free download was a decision we made after some consideration," said the band's namesake Mortiis. "The new model of the music business is important to keep in mind; there´s a new mentality out there in terms of how people acquire their music now. For better or worse, music seems to have become a medium a lot of people aren´t prepared to pay for in the old fashioned way. So, we paid to record it out of our own pockets 'cos we thought it would be a really cool gift to our fans that have been waiting around for ages for something new to come out."

Mortiis has spent much of the past couple years writing and recording The Great Deceiver, the long-awaited follow-up to 2004's full-length The Grudge and the 2007 remix album, Some Kind of Heroin. Perfectly Defect is the quintessential prelude to the world of The Great Deceiver - while the latter is heavier and darker, the former is varied, experimental, and largely instrumental. The bottom line is that Perfectly Defect leads into The Great Deceiver acting as a crucial stage in the evolution of Mortiis' music.

"When we were writing and working on The Great Deceiver, we were coming up with all sorts of inspired stuff, a really varied collection of music," Mortiis offered. "Some of it was far too varied and experimental to be included in such an angry, dark album as The Great Deceiver so we created a brand new album that is the introductory element to the more intricate world of The Great Deceiver."

"I think we really captured a cool vibe here," Mortiis enthused. "It's not easy marrying anger with melody, but I believe we did it. The songs on Perfectly Defect were created across a period of time, and I believe it shows in terms of what inspired these songs. They're rather soundtrack-y in a dark and sometimes bombastic way."

With the concept of digital distribution came a new empowerment for Mortiis - one where the artist controls his own artistic destiny.

"After our record deal finally expired, I had developed a profound aversion to the very idea of letting other people control my art, my lifework," he said. "So, again, the idea of the new technology really did grow on me. We dealt with some really evil stuff in the industry. Nothing shocking in terms of industry practice, but at a human level, it was a living nightmare. It reached a point where we fired everyone around us except for the handful of people we knew we could trust. It was a big move, but had to be done in order to survive. It was like rewinding the clock back to the start and beginning with a clean slate. We started working on a ton of new music right then. With the advent of modern technology, we realized we could do a lot of stuff without the often self-serving, meddling record labels. No record label would ever have let us put out an album for free, with the option to donate if the fans wanted to."

Calm Hatchery - Check Out Two New Tracks

Polish act Calm Hatchery have made two new songs from their upcoming album Sacrilege Of Humanity available for streaming now at the band's official MySpace page.

Calm Hatchery are a brutal death metal quintet from northern Poland, featuring past and present members of Dead Infection and Tehace. They've just finished putting the final touches on their second album, entitled Sacrilege Of Humanity. The band signed a worldwide deal with Selfmadegod, and the album shall hit the stores on November 16, 2010.

Sacrilege Of Humanity is technical, brutal death metal inspired by such genre leaders as Nile, Morbid Angel, Decapitated and Immolation. The album's flawless sound of second was captured at Hertz Studio, Bialystok where the album was recorded and supervised by the Wieslawski brothers (Behemoth, Vader, Hate). The cover artwork is being designed by Mentalporn (Deathstars, Behemoth) and will be released shortly. All pieces of this puzzle ensure us that this is going to be fantastic piece of extreme music, a must-have for all fans of aforementioned bands. More info coming soon.

Comments guitarist Huzar: "We put all passion and determination from our hearts into this music. Our band went through some hard time during last year, but the faith in what we're doing and the need to create music was the reason that our music grew mature. One thing can be said for sure: the music we offer these days is full of emotion. It's hard to be original these days and we do not pretend to be - we're not afraid to admit it and we'll accept all comparisons. I'd like to encourage you to listen to our new songs." The two new songs are called "Messerschmitt" and "Lost In The Sands", go check them out here.

Calm Hatchery debuted four years ago with their El Alamein album. Recently the band achieved some major success by winning the 20th August Rock Generacja Festival and having the opportunity to present itself next day in Koszalin Amphitheatre together with Vader and Napalm Death.

Lonewolf - Line-Up Changes In The Band

French metallers Lonewolf have parted ways with long time guitarist Damien Capolongo.

The band's vocalist, Jens Volker Mathias Bömer, states: "Damien, our long time lead guitarist and Lonewolf go separate ways now. Other priorities, family, the will of playing something a bit different made this choice as an evidence for Damien, and it is the best decision for both sides to avoid any future misunderstandings which could be bad for our true friendship that of course still remains. We wish Damien all the best for the future.

Nevertheless, he'll play the two upcoming gigs with us: Luynes and Toreille, to close this chapter in a cool way.

Alex, our bass player, (but former Nightmare guitarist) will take the lead guitar, and we will search a new bass player. We don't give a fuck about a monster of technicality, we want to find a true metal child for whom the names Manilla Road, Stormwitch or Running Wild don't sound foreign and strange."
