Grave Digger - New Album Due In October

The new Grave Digger album has been recorded and mixed! Together with new member Axel Ritt on guitars, the band entrenched themselves from mid-May to mid-July at the Meadow Studios of Axel Ritt and the Principal Studios, the place all albums have been recordet since Heart Of Darkness in 1995. Mixed by Jörg Umbreit and produced by Chris Boltendahl, The Clans Will Rise Again will lead the listeners back to the scotish highlands.

Chris Boltendahl, Jens Becker, Stefan Arnold, HP Katzenburg and Axel Ritt offer an explosive mixture of the typical Grave Digger riff metal, combined with awesome epic chorus hooks, which will fascinate the fans from the very first note. The clans are back for attack!

The Clans Will Rise Again is a loose sequel of the Tunes Of War album, but this time not a concept album about the scotish history, rather a work about scotland, it's mysticism and it's people. The Clans Will Rise Again will be released in Europe by Napalm Records Oct. 1st 2010.

The Clans Will Rise Again tracklist:

01. Days Of Revenge
02. Paid In Blood
03. Hammer Of The Scots
04. Highland Farewell
05. The Clans Will Rise Again
06. Rebels
07. Valley Of Tears
08. Execution
09. Whom The Gods Love Die Young

Alcest - Working On New Album, Recruit New Live Bassist

Alcest's be all and end all, Neige, has posted the following statement on the band's MySpace blog:

"After having crossed Europe and North America with Alcest, unfortunately, Fursy Teyssier (Amesoeurs) will not be able to keep on playing bass live due to a lack of time. I guess we will play again togather when he will start making concerts with Les Discrets, I can't wait for that. A new bass player already joined us, Indria (from Lonesoul, Brutal Rebirth, ex-Peste Noire). He will be a part of the Alcest live line-up from the next shows we will do, in Finland.

Otherwise I am already working on the next album, which will be recorded in January-February 2011."

To finish in a musical way, here's a nice piano cover of "Sur L'Océan...".

Poison The Well - Taking A Break For A While

Influential Post-Hardcore/Experimental Metalcore outfit Poison The Well have decided to go on an indefinite hiatus. The word from the band goes as follows:

"So, after twelve years of being a band, countless tours around the world and records being released, we have made the decision to take some time to explore other interests in our lives. We've all reached a point where we feel like we need to take a step back from the band and pursue other things. PTW has been an all encompassing, full time thing for such a long period that this isn't an easy thing to do. We want to thank everyone who has supported us in anyway, whether it be buying a record or a shirt, to the occasional robbery from time to time. Once again, thanks for everything and we couldn't have done any of this without you."

Immortal - Live DVD Coming Out In August

Immortal will release their first-ever concert DVD, The Seventh Date Of Blashyrkh, on August 6 via Nuclear Blast. The disc will include professionally filmed video footage of the band's headlining performance at the 2007 edition of the Wacken Open Air festival, which was held August 2-4, 2007 in Wacken, Germany.

In an April interview with About.com, Demonaz said the band is making progress on writing their next album. He said: "We already have three songs for the next album. We'll be working on the album this year. And we have material for a lot of other songs, so maybe in August we'll be finished with half the album. But we haven't come so far that I can see the end of the album. I think we'll try to work with the songs and make them classic Immortal songs. The next album will be different than All Shall Fall. I think the songs will come off as one package. Every album is different for us, but we won't try too many new things. We'll stick to the plan and make the music we like."
