Quiet Riot - Randy Rhoads unreleased track
On Kevin Dubrow webpage you could listen to and download an unreleased track featuring Randy Rhoads.
"This song titled "Come And Gone" was recorded live in the studio in early 1975. It has never been released and by listening you can tell that even then at 17 years old Randy Rhoads had great potential. We had a manager that had accsess to free studio time so we regularly went in and recorded. Randy was so much fun to work with, was very serious about music and very serious about having fun. Enjoy!!"

Green Carnation - part ways with drummer
GREEN CARNATION, the Norwegian band featuring Tchort (a.k.a. Terje Vik Schei, ex-EMPEROR, SATYRICON, EINHERJER), have parted ways with drummer Anders Kobro. A replacement has been found in the shape of Tommy Jackson, a longtime fan and friend of the band.
"Anders is a metal drummer and most of all, an extreme metal drummer," Tchort said in a statement. "We didnt feel that his drumming skills was what GREEN CARNATION needed for the two last albums, his skills are of much more use in a band like CARPATHIAN FOREST, where he still plays. We want the drums to play a more important role than they have for the two last albums, and therefore we have agreed with Anders Kobro for him to step down, and for Tommy Jackson to take his place. We believe that the band will benefit and progress from this change, as Tommy is more of the drummer we want in the style we are playing. Kobro agrees to that.
"So, no matter how standard it may sound, it is for musical differences that our ways part with Anders Kobro, but obviously he played an important role on the three albums he did with the band and there are mixed feelings with this change, but we all believe it will be for the best.
"We believe that it would be best if the news are breaked sooner than later, as we want the album to be in focus when the time of release is closing in and not a member change, so feel free to announce the line up change already now.
"GREEN CARNATION will still play the two confirmed shows on October 2nd (Lost Souls Festival, headliner, Kristiansand) and 8th (Tribute, headliner, Sandnes), with Tommy Jackson on drums."
GREEN CARNATION's new album will be released in early through The End Records in the U.S. and Season of Mist in Europe.

Darzamat - New Album Ready
Poland's DARZAMAT have completed work on their fourth album, "Semidevilish".
The follow-up to last year's "Oniriad" was recorded at Mamut Studio with producer Maciej Mularczyk and contains 10 songs plus an intro, for a total of 50 minutes of music. Also included with the CD will be a concert video for the song "Era Aggression", filmed at the ninth edition of the "Brutal Assault" festival in the Czech Republic, where DARZAMAT appeared directly before CANNIBAL CORPSE.
Commented DARZAMAT vocalist Flauros, "This is the hardest material DARZAMAT has ever made and at the same time, the first step in a new direction which is to open a successive chapter in band's history. 'Semidevilish' is a confirmation that DARZAMAT still presents metal music never deprive of feelings, hate, anger, passion and experimental approach."
"Semidevilish" is scheduled for release before the end of the year via Avantgarde Records. It will be the group's first album to feature new members Golem (drums, ex-DRAGON), Spectre (keyboards) and Nera (vocals, ex-MIDNIGHTDATE).

Ordo Draconis new album by the end of the year
"Last weekend, finally the choir parts for our upcoming album Camera Obscura were recorded in the Plug Unit studio in Gouda; and what an amazing job the choir has done! Never before have metal and choir music been blended together so splendidly nor so divers - it has to be heard to be believed!
We'd like to thank all the guys and girls from the choir as well as our mobile magician of the mixing desk Patrick for their amazing job - it was a pleasure working together!
The last remaining hurdles to be taken before Camera Obscura will see the light are the recording of the vocals and the mixing of the album. Hopefully by the end of the year we will be able to share our newborn with you all."

Diamond Head parts ways with Sean Harris
"Since the success of the acoustic dates in 2000, events have moved on rapidly-for Diamond Head at least! With the recording of a new album during 2002 things would have appeared on the surface going well. Its therefore somewhat ironic that the band has had to confront arguably the most fundamental upheaval since its very formation - A Diamond Head without Sean Harris.
Times and people move on, personal and professional objectives change and as we have got older (and hopefully wiser!) we all invariably move towards differing agendas.
As musicians we recently reached that regrettable but sometimes inevitable point where our respective business and creative visions for the band were rapidly and irreconcilably diverging. To compromise in such a situation would have meant all parties concerned feeling dissatisfied with the end result. The band would have surely stagnated and imploded.
Therefore after a great deal of soul searching we have decided to carry on without Sean as singer. We wish him all the luck in the world with his future ventures and projects.
Over the last few years it has been gratifying, humbling and downright flattering to see the huge ongoing interest, constant support and open affection people have for the band and our music. So much so that if only for those people we are fully determined to forge ahead with Diamond Head.
We have found a brilliant new singer in Nick Tart and the songs we have written thus far have been created with a natural ease and enthusiasm; what could be termed classic Diamond Head tempered with a very contemporary sound.
We are sure that once the fans have heard the fruits of our labours they will continue to support us as they have in the past.
The album-as yet untitled is due out Spring 05."
