Grave Digger - New Lyric Video Online

The German reaper roars again. After sharing a brand new video, the German heavy metal act Grave Digger now unleashes a lyric video for the song ''Call For War''. In a matter of a few days, this is the second song released by the band from the new album, Healed By Metal, due on January 13th, 2017 via Napalm Records.

Saxon - Bassist To Miss Shows Due To Family Emergency

British heavy metal legends Saxon will play several shows on their current European tour without bassist Nibbs Carter after he had to urgently return home to be with his family. The band explained that "due to a family emergency," Nibbs would not play six shows, starting on December 11th in Ljubljana, Slovenia and ending on December 18th in Barcelona, Spain. Filling in for him is Greek musician Kostas ''Gus'' Macricostas, who has previously played with Battleroar.

Picture - Former Drummer Dies

Picture, the Dutch heavy metal veterans, are mourning the death of their former drummer Jacques van Oevelen, who was born in Bevervijk and passed away in Alkmaar. He also played drums in Entropy and was part of Picture from 1984-1987.

Desolate Pathway - Line-Up Changes

Some line-up changes have happened in English traditional doom act Desolate Pathway. The band had two live bassists this year, Addam Westlake and Iron Void bassist Jonathan Seale. Now the group has a new permanent bass player, Dionisio Perez-Mavrogenis, and he replaced short lived member Jamie Butler. At the same time, guitarist Nuno JB Silva also exited the band.

Saor - UK Tour Announced

Scottish atmospheric black metal act led by Andy Marshall, Saor, has announced two UK dates, in London and Glasgow. King Crimson - Greg Lake Passes Away

Greg Lake, who fronted both King Crimson and Emerson, Lake & Palmer, has died aged 69. Born in Bournemouth and one of the founding fathers of progressive rock, the British musician is known for songs including "In The Court Of The Crimson King" and "I Believe In Father Christmas". He died on Wednesday after "a long and stubborn battle with cancer," said his manager. The news comes nine months after Lake's band-mate Keith Emerson died. Keyboardist Emerson died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to coroners in the U.S.

Heavy Montréal - Will Go On Hiatus In 2017

Montreal concert promoter Evenko has announced that the Canadian metal festival Heavy Montréal will go on hiatus next summer, but will return on July 28th and 29th, 2018 at Parc Jean-Drapeau. Nick Farkas, vice-president of concerts and events at Evenko, said that Heavy Montréal was being cancelled in 2017 due to a number of factors, including the renovations that will be going on at Parc Jean-Drapeau and the fact that the summer of 2017 will have a busy schedule for other hard rock and metal shows in Montreal.

Circle II Circle - Drummer Adam Sagan Dies

Americans Circle II Circle just lost their drummer Adam Sagan. He left the band back in 2015 and was also in other groups such as Into Eternity, Eumeria, Echoterra and White Empress, among others. He died after losing his battle with cancer.

Wormwood - Join Non Serviam Records, To Release Debut

Swedish atmospheric black metallers Wormwood have inked a deal with the Dutch label Non Serviam Records. Their debut album entitled Ghostlands - Wounds From A Bleeding Earth will be released early next year as a physical release and through all digital platforms. The album has been recorded and mastered by Sverker Widgren at Wing Studios, a renowned veteran of sound engineering on the Scandinavian extreme metal scene.
