Desolate Pathway - Confirmed For Malta Doom Festival
English traditional doomsters Desolate Pathway will play at the Malta Doom Festival (MDM) in October, it has been confirmed. The festival has also announced a few other bands like Bunker 66 (Italian band), Mythological Cold Towers and Phlebotomized. It will be a veritable doom feast!

Destruction - Announce New Album
Prepare for more Teutonic Destruction! The thrashers are currently working on their new album entitled Under Attack. The band started the recording sessions after the summer festivals last year and have been recording segments in various studios between September 2015 and January 2016. So far, they have completed the drum recordings with Martin Buchwalter at Gernhart Studios in Germany, as well as completing some basic recordings, mixing and mastering with VO Pulver at Little Greek Studios in Switzerland.

Emily Alice Ovenden - Launches New Band
Pythia's long time vocalist Emily Alice Ovenden left the band in 2015 and has now launched a new folk/prog band, Khronicles. The new Pythia vocalist is Sophie Dorman and you can hear a sample of her audition for the band below. Their first appearance of the year will be on January 22nd at the Boston Music room in London. Triaxis and Metaprism will open for Pythia.

Black Sabbath - Tommy Clufetos Confirmed For Farewell Tour, To Release EP
England's long living metal legends, Black Sabbath, formed in 1968 in Birmingham. Three original members, except for drummer Bill Ward, will hit the road soon for their farewell tour. They are taking drummer Tommy Clufetos with them, and he has already performed with the band on tour in 2013. Furthermore, Black Sabbath is releasing a new EP called The End on January 20th.

The Polish band Blindead can't seem to get a break when it comes to their singer position. They are searching for a new frontman once again. The post-metallers didn't say much about the departure of their most recent singer, Jan Galbas. Kauan - Latvian Show Cancelled, Announce Side-Project
Post/doom metal act Kauan were supposed to perform in Latvia for the first time this month. However, they had to cancel the show in Latvia in support of their new album Sorni Nai due to problems with obtaining visas. The gig was to take place on January 23rd in Riga at concert hall Klubs Melnā Piektdiena.
