Orange Goblin - To Tour The UK And Ireland Next Year

Orange Goblin has announced that the brand new Orange Goblin album A Eurology For The Damned will be released on Candlelight Records on Monday 13th February 2012, the same date that Black Sabbath released their self-titled debut in 1970. It will be released in the USA the following day on Tuesday 14th February 2012, Valentines Day.

Hammers Of Misfortune - North West U.S. Tour Dates Announced

San Francisco metallers Hammers Of Misfortune will be hitting the road this December for a string of dates in the North West with support coming from Relapse Records' Christian Mistress. Hammers Of Misfortune will be playing with their newly-rejuvenated line-up in support of their upcoming album 17th Street, a brash and heartfelt song cycle, blending the best elements of NWOBHM, thrash, doom metal, and American folk music while somehow sounding unlike any of these. Check out 17th Street, which is still streaming in its entirety on NPR's site.

Bonded By Blood - Announce New Bassist

Pomona, California thrashers Bonded By Blood have announced the addition of Jessie Sanchez to the band as their new bassist.

Sanchez replaces former bassist Jerry Garcia, who left the band earlier this year. The newly completed line-up are currently writing songs for a new album, which is tentatively due to be recorded in early 2012.

SSS - European Tour Dates

British crossover thrashers SSS have confirmed the final dates for a headlining European tour, which kicks off this Friday, October 28th in Lisbon, Portugal. The band will be hitting the road in support of their critically acclaimed new album, Problems To The Answer, and it will be the first full tour with new members Stu Taylor (guitar) and Dave Archer (drums).

Deathstars - New Drummer Announced

The leatherswept members of Deathstars are getting ready for the release of their new video "Metal" and their "Greatest Hits On Earth" collection (release: November 4, 2011).

The band is also proud to present their new drummer Vice (aka Oscar Leander/Crescendolls). Vice replaces Bone W. Machine who split ways with Deathstars in 2010. "I'm really excited to be a part of Deathstars and I really feel that my drumming complements Deathstars music in a perfect way", says Vice.

Nightmare Industries adds: "With this addition to our band our recordings and live shows will deliver more energy than ever before. We are really pumped up about the future!"

Electric Wizard - Begin Work On New Album

UK stoner/doom outfit Electric Wizard have announced that they have begun writing new material for what will become the band's next album.

The band wrote on their Facebook page: "Electric Wizard have begun work on the follow-up to last year's evil opus Black Masses. Material has been demoed at a secret location and was so 'malevolent and foreboding' that 2 tracks will see the light of day as a 7" EP scheduled for release at the forthcoming London Forum show on March 31st. The show will also feature previews of the new songs and (at last!) specially filmed sequences for the video show and more to be announced."

Royal Hunt - DVD Trailer Online

As reported earlier, Danish metallers Royal Hunt are set to release their new long-awaited DVD, entitled Future's Coming From The Past, which consists of new restored versions of their classic Japanese live albums - 1996 and Closing The Chapter (previously released only on VHS), with improved images and sound, and of course, bonus features! The DVD will be released on December 2nd in Europe and November 29th in North America via Frontier Records.
