Korpiklaani - Announce New Album Title, Track Available For Download

Finnish folk metallers Korpiklaani have announced on their official Facebook page that the title of the band's upcoming album will be Kunnia, due to be released in August via Nuclear Blast Records. "Metsälle", a brand new track has also been made available for download. The song was originally recorded last year when the band was competing to represent Finland in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest. To download the new track, go to this location.

Deep Purple - New Album To Be Released In 2013

British hard-rock legends Deep Purple have announced on their official website that their new album will only be released in 2013. They decided to extend their writing and recording period through the summer of 2012. The last album the band released was back in 2005 (Rapture Of The Deep).

Deep Purple singer Ian Gillan commented: "We know we will disappoint some of our fans this summer. However, we look forward very much to our autumn/winter tour and continuing our worldwide tour with our new album in 2013."

Riot - Mark Reale Passes Away

Mark Reale, guitarist and founding member of US hard-rockers Riot has passed away due to complications from Crohn's disease. He was fifty-seven years old. He had been in a coma since January 11th as a result of a subarachnoid hemorrhage.

Announcement posted by the band on their official website: "To friends and fans of Mark Reale and Riot, we are deeply saddened to confirm that Mark has lost his battle with a lifelong illness. Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated by Mark's family, friends, and bandmates at this difficult time..."

Overkill - New Album Title And Cover Art Revealed

US thrash metallers Overkill have announced that The Electric Age will be the title of the band's upcoming album, due to be released on March 27th via eOne Music and March 30th in Europe via Nuclear Blast Records. The Electric Age was recorded and mixed at Gain Studios in New Jersey, owned and operated by bassist D.D. Verni. This will be the band's follow-up to 2010's Ironbound.

Dutch symphonic metallers Epica posted on their official website the first teaser from the band's upcoming album, Requiem For The Indifferent, due to be released on March 9th, 2012, in Europe and four days later in North America via Nuclear Blast Records. "Twenty One", a brand new song from German heavy metallers Rage is now streaming online at this location. The song comes off the band's 21st studio album, appropriately titled 21, which is scheduled to be released on February 24th via Nuclear Blast Records. 21 was recorded at Twilight Hall Studio in Grefrath, Germany, with Charlie Bauerfeind. Nightwish - To Release New Single In February

Finnish symphonic metallers Nightwish will release the second single "The Crow, The Owl And The Dove" off the album Imaginaerum, on February 29th via Nuclear Blast Records. You can pre-order it at this location. Along with the title track, the single will include a previously unreleased song called "The Heart Asks Pleasure First". The cut will be available in two different versions, including an instrumental one. "The Crow, The Owl And The Dove" is featured in three versions: the radio-edit, album version and an instrumental.

US black/death metallers Goatwhore revealed the tracklist and first single off the upcoming album Blood For The Master, both due out in North America on February 14th via Metal Blade Records. The new album was recorded at Mana Recording Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida, with producer Erik Rutan.
