Attica Rage - To Release New Album And DVD In December
Official press release:
UK heavy metallers Attica Rage are set to release brand new album 88MPH worldwide via Off Yer Rocka record label on December 1st 2012, with three live launch parties in Wales, Glasgow and London.
The follow-up to critically-acclaimed second album Road Dog, the new recording was once again produced and mixed by Roddymacaudio at Titan Studios West in Glasgow, Scotland and mastered in New York by Michael Tucci at Masterdisk (Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Nirvana, Pearl Jam).
88MPH is a diverse collection of hard-hitting biker rock anthems, grinding blues-infused metal riffs and searing ballads and is the first album recorded with new bassist Colin Wilson. The album also features guest appearances by Lanarkshire-based singer Emma Nailen and Attica fan Marko Duckworth, who landed the task of battering a beer keg with a baseball bat.
88MPH will be officially launched with a full-throttle, live showcase at Hard Rock Hell VI festival in Pwllheli, North Wales on November 30th 2012, sharing the weekend bill with headliners Testament, Sebastian Bach and Buckcherry. The album launch continues with two headline shows at Glasgow Classic Grand on 7th December (with special guests Afterlife and The Amorettes) and London Nambucca on 9th December.
The band will also release their first ever, long-awaited DVD Road Dog Forever on December 1st. A live concert film and documentary chronicling of making the Road Dog album. Filmed over a two-year period by director Colin Wood, the feature-length movie gives fans a fly-on-the-wall glimpse into the recording studio, backstage at gigs and festivals, the dressing rooms, the hotels and life on the road, with all the rock 'n' roll debauchery and excess along the way. A second disc of bonus extras includes other live tracks, official promo videos, deleted scenes and more.
