Brace yourself, the first bands set to perform at Hellfest 2013 have been announced. And they are...

None other than KISS (exclusive French date and first headliner announced)

The Acacia Strain - Anti Flag - Arch Enemy - Atari Teenage Riot - Aura Noir - Between The Buried And Me - Black Spiders - Candlemass - Carpathian Forest - Coal Chamber - Converge - Cradle Of Filth - Cryptopsy - Danko Jones - For Today - God Seed - Haemorrhage - Hardcore Superstar - Heaven's Basement - Ihsahn - Karma To Burn - Krisiun - Leprous - Marduk - Mass Hysteria - My Sleeping Karma - Nachtmystium - Negative Approach - Parkway Drive - Punish Yourself - Red Fang - Rotting Christ - Senser - Skindred - Spiritual Beggars - The Sword - Terror - Testament - Truckfighters.

The next announcement will be made on December 19th!

Today's special offer will be the last one, and when it will be over, the only thing left will be the 3 day ticket full price! Of course, this is before offering you the possibility to buy a daily ticket when the last bands, as well as the full running order, will be revealed, probably in February. You can still count on a selection of more than 160 bands representing the best of all current and extreme scenes, but also some great legendary headliners. Get your tickets here. The 3-day pass costs 124? (+booking fee)

The 2013 Hellfest edition will take place next 21-23rd June 2013 in Clisson, France.

coz bands are by alphabetical order....


anyway, it's quite a mixed bag. Lots of shit, but some other rather decent. Still dozens of bands to be announced so it's ok.

(apparently, they forgot to add Down, who are also part of the line-up).

Atari Teenage Riot, Candlemass, Carpathian Forest, Haemorrhage, Nachtmystium, Rotting Christ, The Sword amongst others. Not too shabby if you ask me. Besides, that's a tiny percent of the total line-up and the rest will be far more obscure.

There are some bands that I would like to see here. I would love to see Leprous live, but overall this seems like the worst Hellfest lineup. Some pretty shitty headlining bands here so far (Korn, Converge, Bullet For My Valentine). Hopefully they've gotten the worst ones out of the way.

When are the bigger headline bands ever any good? I just don't think a fest should be disregarded on the first announcement. It's not like you'll ever have time to see all the bands you want to see anyway.

Candlemass, Carpathian Forest, Haemorrhage, Nachtmystium, Rotting Christ, Cryptopsy, Ihsahn, Krisiun, Marduk, Testament are all bands I'd like to watch and hell, even God Seed could be great.
