Dirge - Recording New Album

Good news for sludge metal fans. Dirge's new album is on its way. The French outfit is currently working their socks off recording the new album which will be released via Debemur Morti Productions, their new label. This will be the follow-up to the well-received Elysian Magnetic Fields released in 2011. More details will be revealed in due time.

The complete Dirge's back catalogue is now available through Bandcamp if you are interested in checking them out.

Sweet ! Elysian Magnetic Fields was almost my AotY in 2011 if it wasn't for 40 Watt Sun.

i loved it and it finished 8th on my list (first in post) - 2011 was an awesome year for music. would probably bump to 6th now, ahead of Esoteric and A Storm Of Light.

Yep, I actually spent money on it and had a digipak sent here all the way from France! The drummer handles all that stuff - he was very nice!

Yessir Craig, the album just blew me away. The electronic keyboards and soundscapes are so powerful and when added to the heavy bass line... better batten down the hatches...
