Lantlôs - Streaming New Track


Rejoice Lantlôs fans because the atmospheric metal project just released the first taste of new music taken off the new opus Melting Sun. The album will be released via Prophecy Productions on the 2nd of May. While you wait, enjoy the album's first single "Melting Sun I: Azure Chimes" below. After Deafheaven last year, Lantlôs also give us a slash of pink in the cover artwork. It was created by Pascal Hauer. Check it out.

Neige has already done work with Lantlôs and doesn't want Alcest to be a metal project anymore so I doubt he'll be paying much attention to this.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. Parts of it definitely sounds good, and Herbst's vocals are quite good (as they were in LowCityRain imo). I don't like the idea of Lantlôs abandoning all harsh vocals and blasting drums though. It sounds a bit too much like Alcest I find, which is odd since it's the first album in a while without Neige.

I, too, prefer Herbst's cleans to Neige and like Skyum said they sounded great in LowCityRain. The song is promising to say the least, but I don't want to listen to it a lot outside the context of the album.
