Ahab - Unveil New Album Cover And Tracklist


Ahab have unveiled the cover and tracklist of their new album The Boats Of The Glen Carrig, which is an interpretation of William Hope Hodgson's novel with the same title. You can feast your eyes on the artwork created by Sebastian Jerke in all its glory below. As for the release date, the German funeral doom metallers' new offering comes out on August 28th through Napalm Records. Stay tuned for new music coming soon.

    Haha after seeing the 'pencil scribble of the album's cover' I wasn't expecting this cover art to look like this. It is fun and colorful. Also a bit less 'serious'. Looks more like a cover art for a prog rock/metal album. I like it.

    The Giant already wasn't funeral doom so it will be unlikely if they rreturned to playing funeral doom. Ah well just one more week and I will get to hear the new album.

    I wouldn't mind a slight change of direction. Even funeral doom bands need to evolve and improve.
    Look at Evoken, they've been evolving slightly with every new album. Not dramatic changes, but small ones.
    I like bands who do this.

    Ahab already had quite a big change in direction with The Giant going from funeral doom the first two albums to post metal on The Giant.
