Leif Edling - Launches New Band
Candlemass' bassist and songwriter Leif Edling has launched a new solo project called The Doomsday Kingdom. After launching his new band Avatarium in 2013, Leif Edling is now focusing on solo material. You can already hear some previews of the material below.
He says in a video message introducing the new project: "As you perhaps know, I won't be playing live with Candlemass this year. I'm still burnt out. But hopefully I can do it next year. And in the meantime, I would like to introduce some solo stuff I've been working on for some time now, and I call it The Doomsday Kingdom. And it's a low-key thing I'm doing without any label involved. And it's metal the way it's supposed to be, and it's for all of you that love this kind of music as much as I do. And I hope you will enjoy it. Every week, I will put up a new film so I properly can present The Doomsday Kingdom to everybody interested and play a few snippets from it."

Candlemass had someone fill in for Leif for quite a few gigs now already. Avatarium have almost Always performed live without Leif. Krux almost never plays live and Leif Edling as self-titeld solo project has never played live at all.
