Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan.....
Their last album was breathtaking but this cover and titles are kinda intriguing in a different way than the previous one. That teaser was quite awesome though so not getting my expectations any lower.
EDIT: At first listen, doesn't seem as nuanced as the opener of the last album. Still their same haunting sound though.

Cover is kinda naff compared to the previous, but the song isn't bad. I don't think I can really judge it without hearing it in the context of the album,

Can't say this song goes together very well. Opened like it was going to model Misled Children or something, but turns flat after that until it goes back to the synth base.
I guess it's avant-garde...not sure if good, however.

The cover is really not good compared to the one for their previous record, which was one of the most unique and eye catching covers I've ever seen.
Really love the song and have played it 10 times already. Maybe it is not as good as the opener of NbtH, but it is damn good. I guess I would like a bit of more guitar sound overall.
It is even more difficult to label than NbtH it seems. Even more free from death metal, but also not much black metal. Also this is not something that I call avantgarde, as it lack apparent uniqueness and shock factor.

Such urban desolation and alienation.

It's definitely interesting but like Joe said (I think) it would probably be better if I listen to it with the rest of the album.

I thought so too at first glance, but... now that I think of it it does kind of have that similar "wavy black and white" look to it that the NBTW cover had as well, if you know what I mean. Kinda surreal and unconscious-like. At least from where I'm sitting that cover and the track seem to be hinting that this album is largely going to continue building upon the overall aesthetic of the last one. Hope I'm proven right!

I love the cover. Two guys and the reflection of one of them going to an unknown place where there might be nothing at all.

I like the style of it indeed, definitely similar in feel to NBtW, I just think they wasted an opportunity with the subject matter. It just looks like an average snap you might take on a phone without that much consideration of what it is you're talking. I'm sure others will find meaning in it though. The figure at the bottom sort of looks badly photoshopped to me though.

Yeah it is photoshopped of course, but looking at it carefully you can see the guy on the right is walking down the stairs but in the opposite direction. Looking at his knees, it seems that the left side of the photograph is taken from above and right side is taken from the bottom of the stairs. Looks very much surreal to me.
