Kamelot - Debut New Video

Symphonic power metallers Kamelot have been teasing the release of a new video for the new tune "Phantom Divine (Shadow Empire)" and now it's finally here. The song features Once Human singer Lauren Hart, who also makes an appearance in the video which is available for your viewing pleasure below. All you have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy!

The band says of the song: "In the not too distant future, our memories and thoughts will be extracted and transferred to synthetic AI. Our carbon based bodies will no longer be needed and eventually discarded. On 'Phantom Divine' we explore this vision of a world where we are replaced by AI. Welcome to the Shadow Industries Transference Division...Welcome to the Phantom Divine (Shadow Empire)!"

The Shadow Theory drops on April 6th on Napalm Records. You can still hear the album's first single here.

The chorus reminds me Sacrimony...the same old pattern, nothing new to my ears, but I like it though!

The only thing good here is Tommy's vocals, other than that, it's the same old stuff... And I'm getting tired of it.

Meh, not doing it for me sadly, they're writing to a formula now.

Why are bands still trusting this studio with their videos? Enough with this CGI crap.

I want to like this album so much... I miss having some new Kamelot to enjoy but man these two songs make liking this album difficult. Sounds like thy're just reusing parts of previous songs and calling it new. So far I haven't heard even a taste of that industrial sound they promised...

They should abandon this green screen madness. For real, it was fine at Roy era, but now it's really boring and schematic.
The songs - as someone mentioned before, chorus sounds EXACTLY like 'Sacrimony', which is a bad. Not only because it's generic, but it's a sing that they're running out of ideas. And this makes me sad. Kamelot was such an awesome band. We know that no one can replace Roy Khan, but someone new could bring some fresh and new ideas to band. Looks like all the 'joy' went to new Seventh Wonder album.

Well, I'm of the (so it seems) little group liking this song.

Well, nothing weird about metal fans. If the bands do anything new, they complain. If don't, also complain.

I don't care if they do anything new or the same. As the result is nice and enjoyable for myself, I WILL APPROVE IT! And that's not an exception

Weak and boring...
No creativity from Khan era, its the same old story every single time with Karevik.

I really hoped the second single would be anything but that. Goodbye Kamelot, I'll keep on listening, but after I'm done shuffling through your new material, I'll be sure to binge replay your old songs. Sincerely, a devoted, long-time fan.

It's alright but it sounds a bit to similar to Sacrimony and Lauren is underutilized here.

I gotta say the album is TRASH.
No inspìration, no creativity, totally boring. It is so sad that a such a fantastic band be going down like this.....
I think the new Roy Khan song is better than the whole new Kamelot album.
