Fleshgod Apocalypse - Equipment Stolen, Tour Dates Cancelled
Italian symphonic death metal titans Fleshgod Apocalypse recently posted a video and made the following announcement via their Facebook page, regarding the theft of their equipment in Sweden and the inevitable cancellation of their remaining European tour dates.
Band statement:
"Hello friends, we're sorry to inform you that we'll not be able to make it for the last four shows of this tour: Copenhagen, Hamburg, Brasov and Mannheim. Last night some miserable pieces of shit broke into our van and stole our full live rig, production tools and stage props, drums gear, our signature custom-made guitars and bass (by Rufini Guitars), merchandise and various spare parts. Please let us know if you spot one of those turds trying to resell our stuff online.
"If you want to help, you can give us a hand by buying some merchandise from our store. This is a tough day for us, but we're stubborn like a bull and we'll keep working harder than before, which is the only way we know to overcome adversities. Old-school we are, old-school we'll die. Please spread the word and thanks so much for your support!"
A few hours ago the band shared the following update:
"The amount of love and support we've been receiving these days left us speechless. You guys are simply the best, period. Here's a video message from our frontman Francesco Paoli to express our deepest gratitude and also providing some updates regarding the situation.
"We finally got home after a couple of days and everybody's safe, even though we have no idea regarding the equipment. There's no update so far, but the police is on top of it so I think all we have to do is just wait and keep the fingers crossed. So let's see in a couple of days if something moves.
"I wanted to thank you for the enormous support shown. You've been fantastic in the last couple of days. The news is all over the places and... this is because of you. So I really want to thank you because this means a lot to us and makes us realize that probably we have the best fans EVER and metalheads in general are the best people. You are simply fantastic, we love you and we will love you forever."
