Conan - Share New Video
Brit doom behemoths Conan will be releasing their new album, Existential Void Guardian, on September 14th via Napalm Records. To taste a piece of it, the band now premiere the new official music video for "Volt Thrower", which can be seen below. You will be also able to catch Conan live in October and November, while they will be touring through Europe in support of this new release.
"Volt Thrower" is maybe the most 'pop' track on the album," explains frontman Jon Davis. "Sometimes a song just happens without you trying too hard and this is it. Chris [Fielding, bass] was making a cup of tea, Johnny [King, drums] was in the live room at Skyhammer Studio, and I just said, "Play along to this". We jammed the song, jammed it again, then Chris came in and we had a cup of tea, then we recorded it in one take. It's a song about triumph over adversity - an army on the brink of defeat is able to summon the end of evil, the banisher of hatred. From the lake of frozen souls, all hail "Volt Thrower". If only life was this easy."
