That ' s a nice surprise! Ensiferum from the past at last

Already sounds better than mostly anything from their previous few albums. On par with King of Storms and Two of Spades I would venture. Perhaps a return to form? Will have to hear the entire album to make that claim though.

I agree, Skelator sounds like he's got a stick up his ass. Even if 14 year olds did listen to bands like Nightwish it wouldn't mean that Nightwish is an immature sounding band it would mean that those 14 year olds are precocious.

Killer track! Sounds quite old school ensiferum-ish, love the clean vocals. Didn't know that the new keyboardist would sing as well.

Any band capable of maintaining a consistent fan base while expanding into the teen demographic deserves praise even if only for their marketability.

Ensiferum aren't for me, but any 14 year old getting into them is setting out a pretty good path ahead of themselves.

I was expecting to hate it considering their last two to three releases have been Kamelot-esque bad, but I agree with you lot that was actually quite reminiscent of their older work.

Following this ridiculous theory, Charles Manson should be praised for his successfully maintain of loyal demographic group of teens around himself to achieve his goal and - in the end - fame. Quality, not quantity.

That's a pretty good track. I might actually check out the album this time. For the first time in more than 10 years I actually care about what Ensiferum have to offer.

Pretty good track! I'm not ready to claim Ensiferum as relevant again yet though. They've had a few good songs since From Afar but no good albums. This track is a good start though. I'm not sure how I feel about the power metal cleans yet though. They don't sound very folky, but I love Power Metal!

That FREAKIN' PREPOSTEROUS attitude of so many "mErOlJeDz" is the reason why I don't consider myself as such, but a lover of TRUE music (beyond metal) and can't hold with so many metal listeners Those ones and Star Wars fandom are amongst the most toxic people around this world.

You can listen Demis Roussos or Modern Talking, its up to you what you like, it wont change the fact however that Ensiferum belongs to kindermetal world. If you like it, well....its up your ass mate
