Denmark's Anubis Gate have recently revealed sad news that their former and founding member Jesper Møller Jensen passed away. He was part of the group since the formation in 2001 till 2012, and contributed his fair share on the first five studio albums. Priror the Anubis Gate music career, Jesper also performed as a bass player in the band called Invocator (1986 - 1992).

Anubis Gate commented: "To our great sadness we have learned that Jesper Møller Jensen, founder member, guitarist and songwriter on the first 5 Anubis Gate albums, has passed away. Jesper was a sweet beautiful mild mannered soul with whom you could enjoy long deep conversations. Musically Jesper was a master riffer whose precise phrasing was an inspiration for the rest of us and Jesper contributed a wealth of great material to the band. All of us who had our lives intertwined with his, some from a young age, had our lives enriched both personally and musically by Jesper. Even though Jesper left the band to pursue other musical directions we were all still Anubis Mates (a phrase Jesper himself coined). Our thoughts go out to Jespers family. You will be missed and never forgotten."
