Artwork is probably banned because of the angels and those guys around the goat-headed female, probably another pressure from überchristian american housewives, who have nothing else to do than to see blasphemy everywhere.

Oh lol, I forgot that "little" detail. It won't be banned in Europe, I have seen so much worse. At least, I hope it won't. Anyway, it's still plain... plain.... can't find the word for it... *pukes*

And btw, Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia has tits on the coverart too, was it banned in the USA ?

Don't know why it's banned? It's not so much about tits. It's the fact that it IS an anti-Christian picture. Don't get pissed off at Christians over this either. They have a right to make a fuss over something that mocks them. Free speech. It would be kind not to waste all your free speech privileges on opinions of hatred either.

Quite funny really. They'll ban this but the wont ban rape videos that are have on regular occations high drug reference, adualt themes and sexual references. Having half naked females should be put down way before an artwork of a grey breasted historical character.

Wonder if they'll start censoring the naked images in musems and art galleries...

I think it's sad how The United States wants to ban this album cover How is it offensive!?!?! I mean there are other Black Metal and even Death Metal ablum covers out there that are more offending than this album cover!!!

Geez, doesn't the Christian Right Wing Jesus freaks of America have anything else better to do??? Like not pissing off their Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, by messing up Christianity and throwing it into the shitter!!!

me either...its just some titties....and some slightly blasphemous religious type stuff, but nothing all that extreme. Nothing compared to anything Belphegor puts out or Marduks 'Fuck Me Jesus' for that matter.

The coverart is probably banned because Dimmu Borgir is a band that gets a lot more antention in media. The people who bans album covers probably just get to look at the big names, and they've probably never heard about Belphegor or Marduk.

Hmm, when I bought Puritanical back when it was released, the coverart wasn't banned, but the celophane on the outside of the cd had a huge Dimmu Borgir sticker covering up the woman on the front of the book.

And as far as why it's banned in America... it is America... haha. Cencorship doesn't even matter anymore. They censor things that needn't be censored and let far too many other things just go right on by, endlessly... oh well.
