Written by AndyMetalFreak on 01.09.2022 at 18:29 Thank you! I hope my new stuff won't disappoint! For those who might be interested but don't have the time or desire to watch the entire video here's a summary of the information: 1) 26 minutes of music is already composed and recorded and needs only a bit of tweaking to be ready for release. 2) With the exception of a short intro track, all songs will have vocal parts featuring both growls and clean vocals. 3) A new DAW and new VSTs should mean improved production/sound. If nothing else, the bass will actually be audible this time. 4) The entire album will be available on Bandcamp as a name-your-price download, so essentially free.

Written by nikarg on 01.09.2022 at 21:00 I'm glad!!! I can't wait to share new music with You and all the fans (and non-fans too). The song I will release as a single is 99.9 % complete and I've crafted a lyric video for it as well, but I won't unleash it into the world before the entire album is recorded, mixed and mastered. I'm so thankful that you've maintained interest in Dreadrealm after all these years. I'm not going to make any statements about how good I think the album will be, as I hate it when artists do that, but I will say that I am so excited about the return I'm literally having trouble sleeping some nights. Written by nikarg on 01.09.2022 at 21:00 A funny thing happened, actually. I was stumbling around aimlessly. Deprived of hope, I was about die of starvation and thirst, when I bumped into a huge piece of soft fabric. It turns out there was no forest, just a giant green screen. I felt silly indeed as it fell over and revealed that my house was within walking distance. Written by Bad English on 01.09.2022 at 20:54 I'll try my hardest to give You all a full-length album Thanks again for posting the news! P.S. The forest is next to my house, I can return there anytime (I just need a green screen).

Perfect timing! I just listened to your first album for the first time! Excellent stuff - very impressive melodies and vocals, both clean and harsh (and cool cover art too)! By the way, how much was real instruments and how much was programmed? Can't wait for more!

Written by F3ynman on 06.09.2022 at 17:15 Thank You! It's always awesome to read such positive feedback. Written by F3ynman on 06.09.2022 at 17:15 I played both acoustic and electric guitar parts on actual guitars. I recorded acoustic guitars (and all vocals) with a Blue Yeti USB-mic (yep, a podcast microphone. It was all I could afford back then). The electric guitar parts I recorded in Guitar Rig 5 via Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface. Some piano parts, like the ambient middle section of "Fortress Of Decadence" I played on an actual old piano that I have at home, but for most keys/synths I used a MIDI Keyboard (if memory serves). EZDrummer 2 for programming drums and I honestly don't remember how I did bass guitar. It couldn't have been a high-quality VST like EZBass, because not only did that not exist back in 2016/17, but if it had, the bass wouldn't be so weak. As far as instruments go, I can only play keys, guitar and ocarina, so I have to program the rest. I could probably handle bass and drums by now, but I don't have the money or space (for drums) atm and it is difficult to practice instruments I don't own BTW, if you're looking to get into home recording and need some advice or wish to share ideas etc then we can continue this conversation somewhere in the musicians' corner, just quote me or make a post etc. I believe I saw you post something in that thread already, but I haven't had the time to look into your comments yet. I'd be more than happy to help out with what knowledge of home recording I've acquired over the years.

Written by Metren on 06.09.2022 at 17:47 Thanks, man! Researching what's all behind music making makes me appreciate more how talented musicians (like you!) really are. I'll try my hand at experimenting with DAWs snd VST plugins and will post stuff to share my progress. We'll see how much time I have for this new hobby with my uni semester starting soon again, but it should be fun
