Nasty Savage - Call It Quits Again
Nasty Savage guitarist and co-founder David Austin just broke the news on his personal Facebook page that the band is permanently calling it quits, citing his desire to pursue other endeavors outside of music as the reason. It is not the first time that the band has disbanded; Nasty Savage broke up for the first time in 1990 and they had since occasionally reformed, with their last reunion taking place from 2016 until now, during which the band had been in the process of making a new album, which would have been their first since 2004's Psycho Psycho but has never seen the light of day.
Austin's statement reads as follows: "This has been weighing on my mind for a while now, Nasty Savage has nothing booked in the near future at all, I believe this is the perfect time for me to say goodbye, it's been a great 5 years working with Pete Sykes, Ron Galletti, Scott Skotie Carino, and Jim Coker, this has nothing to do with anybody not getting along, this has to do with me being fulfilled enough that I have seen everything I need to see and been everywhere I've ever wanted to go over the last 39 years, getting ready to sell everything, get an acoustic guitar and focus on work Health and Fitness, I encourage those guys to carry on, I feel relieved right now, no I'm not looking for sympathy or any of that stupidity, so if you have something you want to throw back in my face later, you can go ahead and fuck off now. Ready to start living my life without any interferences besides what I need to focus on, and I've lost focus on Nasty Savage."
