Thank You so much! And an extra super huge thanks for posting the news!!! I'm so incredibly glad and relieved that you like the track! If there's one thing I always fear regarding my music and my own attitude it's the "buying into your own hype" mistake that even small-time artists like myself can make. I like "The Eternal Fires Of Bleakmoor" a lot myself and I am proud of it, but that was never a guarantee that it's actually good. I'm feeling more confident now though
Apologies @everyone for the lack of an exact release date. I'm running a one-man-show here and since my construction job and personal life stuff always interferes with my creative process, I don't want to (basically can't) give an exact date.
Some more info about the track: it's lyrics are about the importance of learning from the past (maybe that's obvious LOL) without glorifying the past. It's good to preserve the fire, but equally important not to worship the ashes. I actually came up with the middle section first and built the rest of the track around it. Perhaps it's clear to many by hearing it, but the string-instrument that plays in the intro is not a violin, but a nyckelharpa. I don't actually own a nyckelharpa or know anyone who does, so it's a VST (Era II - Medieval Legends by Eduardo Tarilonte).

Thank you! I'm very glad (and again, relieved) to know you both liked the song. Fun fact: I nearly cooked my CPU (I had it overclocked from its default 4Ghz to 5Ghz and I'd forgotten about that) when rendering the video in Vegas Pro. The video itself is a copyright free image and a copyright free video of a fire. I "photoshopped" the fire into the picture of the swamp. That effect was enough to really test my CPU when rendering.

Yes, it's a nyckelharpa from a VST called Medieval Legends, a VST that works with an engine called simply "Engine." It's one of the many excellent VST libraries by Eduardo Tarilonte.

Thank you! Is it a folklore instrument in Estonia? I know it is in Sweden!
Is there some sort of inspiration in this regard for you? I can think of Myrkgrav, was that an influence in this regard?

I've never actually seen anyone in Estonia play the nyckelharpa, but that likely has more to do with my not being a very concert-going person than a lack of actual nyckelharpa players. I'm sure a few Estonian folk or folk-rock bands' members play it.
The bands that inspire me the most (Agalloch, Immortal, Enslaved, Opeth, Lurker Of Chalice) haven't used the nyckelharpa in their music, as far as I remember. I'm not familiar at all with Myrkgrav, I'm afraid. I bought the Era II - Medieval Legends VST for the lutes mostly, so discovering the nyckelharpa and how well it fit into some of my compositions was a pleasant surprise. It has since become my favorite string-instrument.

Same with the concert-going. But it seems it kinda belong to the Estonian folklore, that's neat, I didn't know that!
Oh, okay, that's interesting! Myrkgrav uses hardingfele, norwegian fiddle (although he probably hired real fiddlers for the album). Anyway yea, I really love this, would like to get to this point somehow in the future too. The VST looks really nice. I used to have a stolen copy of EAQL Ra where there were instruments like that too.

Been listening too the previous full length The Essence of Winter a lot after Metren mentioning something about it in the shoutbox and really enjoying it, giving me the winter escapism feel as I sit in the reality of summer . I didn't even realize it was his band!
Anyway this sounds good and can't wait for the rest.

Aw damn it, you realized that I am Dreadrealm. I had so many clever reveals planned in response to your comment from this morning, where you referred to me as "this guy." Now they're all useless.
Seriously though, thanks for giving my stuff a listen and for the positive feedback!
