Abdicate - Vocalist Died
Drummer Daniel Hemmerich of US brutal death metal slammers Abdicate shared news that their vocalist Richard Kirk aka The Yeti has passed away recently at the age of 45.
Daniel Hemmerich commented: "Yeti was probably my best friend for the last 14 years, we squatted together, we had matching suicidal fish tattoos, I was teaching him how to drum and he was giving me tips on how to drum slow (lol) and I would always hand down my old equipment to get him up and running, the countless drum and smoke sessions we've had. The ridiculous amount of chess games we played together, the hardships we've been there for each other, the crazy work situations we went through together the 4 years we did gutters together, our little inside jokes everything. And now he's fucking gone. Life isn't fair sometimes and I'm not expecting any sympathy, just cherish his memory and the light he brought to your life.my thoughts are with his family and his brother Thor."
