José Andrëa Y Uróboros - Flautist Passed Away
Spanish folk metal collective José Andrëa Y Uróboros revealed that their flautist Fernando Ponce de León, also former Mägo De Oz member, has passed away at the age of 59.
Statement from the band as follows: "Today Fernando Ponce de León said goodbye to us. One of the best people I have ever met in this life has gone, a noble, cultured, funny and intelligent person but above all empathetic and a great friend to his friends. I'm still lost for words. His musical legacy will always live on just as he will live on in my memory wherever he is. I hope to find you just as I remember you when we meet again brother, bringing out those beautiful melodies that made me fall in love with and I will join you with my voice, meanwhile rest in peace my beloved Fernando. May the earth be light on you..."
