Faith No More - Reveal Reunion Line Up

Official press release

Faith No More have always stood out as some sort of unique beast; part dog, part cat - its music almost as schizophrenic as the personalities of its members. When it all worked, it worked really well, even if the chemistry was always volatile. Throughout our 17 years of existence, the mental and physical energy required to sustain this creature was considerable and relentless. Though amicable enough, when we finally split, we all followed paths seemingly destined to opposite ends of the universe.

Yet during the entire 10 years that have passed since our decision to break up we've experienced constant rumors and requests from fans and promoters alike. Nevertheless, for whatever reason, none of us kept in regular touch, much less to discuss any possibilities of getting together.

What's changed is that this year, for the first time, we've all decided to sit down together and talk about it. And what we've discovered is that time has afforded us enough distance to look back on our years together through a clearer lens and made us realize that through all the hard work, the music still sounds good, and we are beginning to appreciate the fact that we might have actually done something right.

Meanwhile we find ourselves at a moment in time with zero label obligations, still young and strong enough to deliver a kickass set, with enthusiasm to not only revisit our past but possibly add something to the present. And so with this we've decided to hold our collective breaths and jump off this cliff... BACK, GOD FORBID, INTO THE MONKEY CAGE!!!

We can only hope that the experience of playing together again will yield results erratic and unpredictable enough to live up to the legacy of FNM. Who know where this will end or what it will bring up...only the future knows. But we are about to find out!

Faith No More are:

Mike Bordin - drums
Roddy Bottum - keyboards
Bill Gould - bass
Jon Hudson - guitar
Mike Patton - vocals

Wow, never in a million years saw this coming. If things go right and they do get back together and start touring, I'm half tempted to go and see them. They played a big part in the transition of my music taste when I was a teenager and seeing them live would re-live that quite nicely.

I wonder if their will ever be a Mr.Bungle Reunion, or is that simply far too volitile of a concoction to ever touch

I agree. But someone has to grow the worlds largest pumpkin, eh?

Other than for that I am pretty stocked. I was listening to Angel Dust this morning on the way to church. Such a killer album.

I never fully got into Faith No More, but I did like them. I'll have to give "Angel Dust" another listening to soon and see how it goes down in these times.

Maybe I'll be lucky and see them if they play at Download.

Yes, they're reuniting. That is awesome. I wonder if they'll release any new albums while they're reunited. I certainly would like to see them live though.

Interesting. and yeah, they did something right, in their own way, which is good, nonetheless. i like how they don't have to worry about the labels and other people brathing down their necks. it's just them depending on them, doing only what they want

who expected him to be there? he didn't play on the bands final two releases.....maybe even more....supposedly even though credited on all of angel dust some of his guitars were pulled/replaced. they have 100% of the band that called it quits. great news. great band.

I agree and also fear that we will have the Faith no more after Angel Dust rather than the ones before that great album.

that really sucks!, but mike patton is going to come to Chile supporting chris cornell on a concert on march, hopefully the media could ask him about that and eventually they could consider the tour in the near future
