Grieving Age - New Album Details

Grieving Age, the Saudi doom/death metal band, would like to announce the official release date of their debut album as the 16th of July 2009.

Grieving Age stated: "Working with Dan Swano (ex-Katatonia, Bloodbath, Edge Of Sanity) in mixing and mastering the album and Aaron Stainthorpe (My Dying Bride) in all album artworks and logo is a magnificent and tremendous step to us! It's kinda like a beautiful dream.

I'm so glad that we are finally going to release our debut album, it took us 5 years to achieve such a sound, something we always wanted and dreamed of! This album shows a different path, hopefully people will like it and appreciate it.

Big thanks to Kamal Al Nauimi (Deathless Anguish) for recording and producing this album and Badr Al Zaharani for recording all vocals. We had such a great time, definitely we will do it again."

The album contains 2 relentless doom songs. 4 minute samples from each song will be uploaded tomorrow (Thursday's night) at this location.

"In Aloof Lantern, Thy Bequeathed A Wailer Quietus..." tracklist:

01. A Quadrennial Dame Pyres, Hearses Shall No Yawn, Thence... (19: 55)
02. Therefore, A Myriad Of Gargoyles Bellow Their Aborted Versicles, Quoth Thee... (16: 59)

Dude, I have a very positive first impression of this band, considering these three things: It is called death/doom in this news release; the band has connections with an Swanö and Aaron Stainthorpe; the song lengths definitely appeal to someone like me. I also think the fact they are from Saudi Arabia is pretty cool, since Saudi Arabia isn't really a place typically thought about in the same sentence as metal music. These song titles and the album title are pretty doomesque as well, if that's a word.

Wow i definitely thought the bands name was "Grieving Ape" at first. anyway, those songs are RIDICULOUSLY long, and verbose. i'll have to listen to em fully to see if theyre worth the 16 and 19 minutes

Less is More
Stay Pure
Stay Poor

Music was my life, music brought me to life and music is how I will be remembered long after I leave this life. When I die there will be a final waltz in my head that only I can hear.
