Imagine starting the year in style. In January 2011, when everyone else is stuck with cold weather, snow and rain, 40 Heavy Metal bands and 2000 fans will take over a luxury cruise ship in the Caribbean for a 5 day and 4 night trip of a lifetime.
Tons of onboard live shows on several in and out door stages, open mic nights, bars that never close, a fun- and sun-filled day on the beautiful island of Cozumel (Mexico) and an opportunity to mingle side-by-side with the artists in this incredibly fan-friendly scenario that has no comparison.
Day 1 Miami FL: We will be sailing out of Miami in the afternoon. The live shows will start shortly after departure and will extend late into the night while we set course for Cozumel.
Day 2 Day on Sea: A whole day on the open seas, sailing along the Cuban coast. Enjoy tons of live shows all day and night long, workshops, bars that never close (again; bars that never close!), poker tournament in the casino, an open mic night, and tons of other onboard activities.
Day 3 Cozumel MEXICO: The ship will arrive at the beautiful island of Cozumel in the early morning and will be docked the whole day. If your hangover is not too bad you can leave the ship for the day and choose from many exciting activities. You can go snorkeling or horse-back riding, visit some ancient Mayan sites or just hang at the beach, have some margaritas and tacos - and swim in beautiful, blue waters!
Day 4 Day on Sea: If you thought the first day on sea was good - you will be blown away on this day! All this while you have the opportunity to mingle side-by-side with your favorite artists in this incredibly fan-friendly scenario that has no comparison. It's like everyone has a backstage pass. This is more then just a cruise vacation. It is also more then just a Heavy Metal festival. This is 70000tons of METAL. For artists and fans alike, the trip of a lifetime!
Day 5 Miami FL: The ship will arrive in Miami in the morning. You might even need a vacation from this vacation when all is said and done!

I live in miami, and this is the first metal fest to come here pretty much. I'm saving up and hopefully I get to go. The only problem I'm having is that it's really pricey to go solo. I might need a room mate to help with the price.

Excellent idea, only FUCK this is impossibly expensive. i do say that for that price they do need to bring out the big fuckin' guns. i surely wouldn't pay 900$ just for food, 6-7 concerts and the possibility to bump into Uli Jon Roth while on the ship.

Yeah, this looks as a very exquisite vacation....I would probably go, if I wouldn't have to fly all way to Miami  However I don't find 1250$ expensive for this kind of trip, which for me it would be a very luxury one.
